Fundamental Quattrocento Painters
This is a list of the most outstanding and representative painters of the 15th century, called Quattrocento, the first part of the Renaissance in Italy. This is a dynamic list, since we will be adding more artists and more information to it over time.
We have to clarify that although Leonardo da Vinci lived most of his life in this century (1452 -1519), and even some of his famous works were painted in this century, his art is well representative of the High Renaissance, and that is why we include him in the Cinquecento.
