Moments of Juan Gris

Juan Gris was fundamental in the evolution of Cubism. He took it to its highest degree of purity and harmony.

He began his work with planes of color and geometric figures in the 1920s, creating pure aesthetic compositions before transforming those planes and colors into identifiable objects.

The artist called them "plastic rhymes."
