Moments of Marie Laurencin

As depicted in the first paintings we have chosen, many of the most important artists of the early 20th century used to gather in the home of Marie Laurencin and her companion, Guillaume Apollinaire, a poet, playwright, and an inspiring figure in the avant-garde world.

However, Marie did not belong to any movement; her art was full of delicacy, elegance, and pastel tones, and it was very different from the rest.
