Fundamental Painters of the Venetian School (15th and 16th Centuries)
The Venetian School refers to the group of painters who gave enormous prestige to the art of the city of Venice during the Renaissance. It began in the 15th century (at the same time as the Quattrocento) and, although it lasted for several centuries, it reached its peak in the 16th century (parallel to the High Renaissance and Mannerism). Some of its members are even considered fundamental references of Mannerism (Tintoretto, Bassano, Veronese).
This is a dynamic list since we will be adding more artists and more information to it over time.
