Moments of Andrew Wyeth
With a chromatic range where earth colors predominate, the protagonists of Wyeth's work throughout his career were the land where he was born and lived and his neighbors (including his famous "models," Christina Olson and Helga Testorf).
Wyeth's portrayal of rural life is part of a very strong movement in the United States that put aside all fashion and avant-gardism to exalt a way of life, a culture, the essence of an entire nation.
The movement was American regionalism, and Wyeth’s work has become a cultural reference for it. He is also considered one of the great American painters of all time.
