Moments of Tamara de Lempicka
When talking about Art Deco, Tamara de Lempicka comes to our mind. She was the most outstanding plastic artist of the movement. Therefore, her most significant and best known work is that of the period between 1920 and 1930, the years of the splendor of Art Deco. It was the interwar period (one of the wars ended in 1919 and the other began in 1939) and there was a great economic recovery and society wanted to "escape" from the horror they experienced. The modern design of a triumphant industrial society is mixed with luxury and sensuality.
