Exquisite Corpse is a creation technique that Surrealists invented in which several artists participate, as in a game.

Every participant contributes in a sheet of paper that is folded, so they cannot see the contribution of the other artists. They can only see a minimal part where they have to “assemble” their drawing or the figures they want to paste. When all have contributed, the sheet is unfolded and the final image appears.

Surrealist artists free their unconscious to create. The Exquisite Corpse is the liberation of the unconscious of all the participants. The result is delirious, something like the revelation of the collective unconscious of the group.
