Paul Cézanne and his Revolutionary Still Lifes

Six Paintings. One concept

Paul Cézanne is considered to be the father of modernity because he conceived a new approach to space, breaking with the traditional rules of perspective (see how some objects are seen from above and others from the front).

This new vision is brilliantly captured in his still lifes and he is very famous for the phrase, “I want to astonish Paris with an apple.”
