It is a series of 23 small works on paper, with signs representing stars, birds and women forming a cosmos, a celestial map. A heaven reached by a stair sometimes. Stairs to escape: Miró feels the need to escape from the horrible reality that the World War II means. He escapes into the universe that he creates.
